i wanted to make an edit to the pquestionnaire, because i completely forgot about this question that i wanted to add to it:
31. imagine there is a piece of information that you do not know about. if you did know it, it could risk darkening your worldview, mental/emotional state, or memories. there is nothing you can do to change it, and it does not directly impact your life, at least as far as affecting your actions. would you want to know about it, know that it existed but not know what it was, or not know that it existed at all?
there *are* *already* billions of informations i don't know about, which would *certainly* darken my worldview etc.
ReplyDeleteis there anything special about this particular hypothetical info?
let's say that this information is relevant in that it would be especially troubling to you specifically, more than it would be to other people (for example, a fall-from-grace of someone you admired, or a falling out of friends you haven't kept up with in a while, or something).
Deletegot it; so it's a bit personal. i can definitely see the downside.
Delete...is there any upside?? maybe i missed it but i can't see any reason why anyone would ever answer "yes" to this instead of "no" 🤔
