i do not believe that “leaning into Christ” or “trusting God through your circumstances” primarily means superimposing my idea of what i think God is doing onto my situation. if God truly is the answer, he doesn’t need me to smush him into a question that makes that work. but i think what it means instead is searching out God’s character, and truly caring in the situation. he doesn’t need me to solve things, only to be open to him providing a way i didn’t know about.
